2025 Construction to Begin

Hi everyone,


Construction for 2025 will resume on March 31st. Below is a summary of the upcoming work as well as an image of the updated phasing plan. A public meeting is being scheduled for the week of March 24th to review the project with property owners. The date and time will be provided in a separate update.


Phase 4 (Walnut Street and Grand Avenue):

  • Upcoming weeks: Crews will be on site in the upcoming days to start locating Sanitary Sewer and Water Services throughout the jobsite prior to removals.

  • 3/31: Streets within Phase 4 will be closed to begin removals along Walnut Street and Grand Avenue. The contractor is estimating Phase 4 to be complete by the end of June.


Phase 5 (Ivy Lane)

  • Streets are scheduled to be closed for construction starting in June.


Phase 6 (Elm Street, Milwaukee Avenue, and Grand Avenue)

  • Upcoming weeks: Private Utilities Companies such as MidAmerican and Xcel will be on site relocating their facilities. Streets will be open to traffic while they perform their work.

  • Streets are scheduled to be closed for construction starting in May.


Phase 7 (Anna Way)

  • Streets are scheduled to be closed for construction starting in July.


Phase 1-3 (Perry Lane and Maple Street)

  • Reminder: Seeding window opens April 15th and closes May 15th. The Contractor will resume seeding and restoration throughout Phase 1-3. If your yard has irrigation, it can now be repaired. If you have not yet hired a landscaper to repair your irrigation, you can contact Darrel Miles, with Groundwater Landscape and Irrigation, at (605) 370-3772.
