Since our last update, the contractor has installed underground utilities throughout Anna Way. The concrete crews also began concrete surfacing along Elm Street, Milwaukee Avenue, and Grand Avenue. Below is a summary of the work over the next couple of weeks.
Elm Street, Milwaukee Avenue, and Grand Avenue (Phase 6B):
This week: The contractor will be on site placing concrete approaches. Concrete surfacing is planned to continue throughout the rest of this week. Once all the concrete approaches are in place, the contractor will prepare the road for asphalt surfacing.
Week of 9/22: The asphalt crew will be on site paving throughout Elm Street, Milwaukee Avenue, and Grand Avenue. Once asphalt surfacing is in place, concrete driveways will be constructed.
Anna Way (Phase 7A):
This week: The contractor plans to complete seeding operations, this morning, the 16th of September. We recommend that once the seed is in place, residents begin watering and maintaining the new turf as described in the Turf Maintenance Guide below. To encourage residents to water the new grass, the City will be providing a one-time $25.00 credit on the September utility bills. The credit will be applied to customers whose lawns were recently seeded. If there are any questions, please direct them to the project team. Thank you!
Anna Way (Phase 7B)
This week: Underground utilities have been installed. The contractor will now prepare the road for concrete curb and gutter. Once curb and gutter is in place, the contractor will place concrete approaches.
Week of 9/22: Concrete crews will be on site placing concrete approaches. When approaches are constructed, asphalt surfacing will be placed.
