Since our last update, the contractor completed seeding operations in Phase 4 and Phase 6A as well as installed utilities throughout Phase 6B. Below is a summary of the work over the next couple of weeks.
Phase 6A (Elm Street):
On Wednesday, August 13th, the contractor began seeding operations throughout Phase 6A. To encourage residents to water the new grass, the City will be providing a one-time $25.00 credit on the September utility bills. The credit will be applied to customers whose lawns were recently seeded. If you have any questions regarding lawn maintenance, please find the lawn maintenance guide below.
Phase 6B (Milwaukee and Grand Avenue):
Next week: Underground utilities will continue to be installed throughout Phase 6B including watermain as well as storm sewer.
Week of 9/1: Once all the underground utilities are installed, the contractor will begin installing base course in preparation of curb and gutter placement.
Phase 7A (Anna Way):
Next week: The contractor plans to finish asphalt surfacing on Monday morning. Once asphalt surfacing is in place, the contractor plans to place concrete driveways throughout Phase 7A.
Week of 9/1: When concrete driveways are in place, the contractor will place topsoil throughout disturbed areas of the project which will be followed by seeding operations.
Phase 7B (Anna Way)
Next week: Removals are scheduled to begin on Monday, the 25th of August. Once work begins, residents will not have access to their driveways and will need to park outside of the construction limits or make other arrangements. When removals are complete, the contractor will begin installing utilities throughout Phase 7B.
Week of 9/1: Underground utility crews will be on site installing sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer.
If you have any questions, please contact the project team. Thank you!
