Hi everyone,
Since our last update, the Contractor has completed most of the grading and topsoil installation along Perry Lane, and the sanitary sewer improvements have been completed on 274th Street. Concrete crews have begun curb and gutter installation along Maple Street. Below is a summary of work planned to occur throughout the next few weeks.
Phase 1 & 2 (Perry Ave):
This week: Concrete crews will install sidewalks and ADA ramps at the Walnut and Maple intersections. Landscaping crews will continue to work on retaining walls and landscaping where necessary.
Next week: Crews are scheduled to reinstall mailboxes and traffic signs. Please ensure that your mailbox can easily be accessed by the contractor.
Note: Seeding has been postponed until Spring. The contractor will place mulch over the dirt and apply weed control before placing the seed in Spring. If your yard has irrigation, they can now be repaired.
If you have not yet acquired a landscaper to repair your irrigation, you can contact Darrel Miles, with Groundwater Landscape and Irrigation, at 605-370-3772.
Phase 3 (Maple St):
This week and next week: Earthwork crews will finish grading the roadway, installing gravel base course and preparing for concrete work from the railroad tracks to Grand Ave. Concrete crews will work from Perry Ln to Grand Ave completing curb and gutter, ADA ramps and concrete street paving. Note: concrete sawing will occur during nighttime hours.
If you have any questions, please contact the project team. Thank you!
